LADIES’ DAY ON THE HILL IS CANCELLED!!
After carefully listening to Governor Lee’s press conference on Thursday, after consulting with several members of the state legislature, including Speaker Cameron Sexton’s office, and after much consideration for the health and well-being of our members, we made the difficult but necessary decision to cancel the March 30 Ladies’ Day on the Hill. This cancellation should help prevent the spread of the coronavirus and keep our members safe.
Not enough time is left in this legislative session to postpone Ladies’ Day on the Hill and then reschedule it again this year.
We have invited Representative Robin Smith to be our guest for the next TFRW Board Meeting and Iris Fund Luncheon/Silent Auction on May 16 at Brentwood Country Club. She will speak about Celebrating 100 Years of Woman’s Suffrage. More information will be forthcoming.
Clubs that have sent in their registration money for Ladies’ Day on the Hill will be refunded within the next week.
ALL MEMBERS WITH OVERNIGHT HOTEL RESERVATIONS NEED TO CANCEL THEIR OWN ROOMS.
We thank Patsy Henry and the Federated Clubs in 3B for their hard work and detailed planning.
Barbara Trautman, TFRW President
